Great Mountain Manor - Elm Stream

Maine Whitetail Adventures is based out of Great Mountain Manor, located on Nulhedus Stream in Elm Stream Township, T4R16. Wildlife Management District Zone 4.

Great Mountain Manor has its own private chef and the food is great! We provide clean and comfortable beds, indoor plumbing and showers.

Although remote, we are connected with internet. A rarity in the north Maine woods.

We are Open Year-Round!

We are open for lodging year-round and offer a variety of guided activities. Our guided adventures are categorized by season.

WINTER (Jan-Mar): Ice-fishing, Predator Hunting, Snowshoe Hare Hunting.

SPRING (Apr-May): Turkey Hunting, Fishing, Coyote Hunting.

SUMMER (Jun-Aug):
Whitewater Inflatable Kayaking on the Seboomook River, Fishing, Moose Tours, Hiking, Yoga Retreat, Photo Safari.

FALL (Sep-Dec): Bear over Bait, Bear Trapping, Bear over Dogs, Moose Hunting, Archery Deer, Rifle Deer, Muzzleloader Deer, Grouse Hunting, Duck/Goose Hunting, Wilderness Trapline.


At mile 67 on the golden road turn right onto the Elm Pond Road. Drive 1.5 miles, take the first right after the gate.

Great Mountain Manor is located in Elm Stream Township, inside the vast North Maine Woods – Multiple Use Management Area. This area is gated and visitors are required to check in and out at various gatehouses. On your trip to Elm Stream, you’ll be visiting one of the North Maine Woods checkpoints and are required to pay a minimal land use fee. Information on the North Maine Woods and visitor information can be found by visiting Gate fees are $30 for Maine residents and $50 for non-residents.
